Women's Leadership Program

The Young African Women's leadership program is designed to provide a platform for women to  embrace their leadership qualities as great humanitarians. Women are challenged to design a humanitarian project for a community in need and implement such micro projects from start to completion. This includes fund raising for the project, fact finding, implementation and evaluation.  The Leadership Program has been very effective with delegates from the Miss Africa USA pageant where the young women in the pageant are able to make their pageant platforms a reality.

The program is not limited to Miss Africa delegates. Successful women are also invited to take advantage of their successes and their status as role models to inspire upcoming leaders through mentorship and leadership training programs.  Please contact us to enrol in the Women's Leadership Program.

In 2007 Miss Africa USA Teizue Gayflor visited Liberia where she not only inspired school children to take their education seriously, she was also able to sponsor the supply of ceiling fans for congested classrooms to enable children learn in a more conducive environment. Miss Teizue visited several orphanages in Liberia and provided clothing for the children there. Miss Teizue returned from Liberia a very fulfilled young leader, having carried out a micro project for children in need, something which she had dreamed of for a long time.   After being crowned Miss Africa USA 2007, Miss Mfonobong Essiet embarked on a mission to provide a 40 ft container of Medical supplies to local hospitals and clinics in Akwa Ibom State, her homeland in Nigeria. The African Women's Foundation arranged a tour of MedShare International facility, a non-profit organization which specializes in medical supplies and equipment for developing countries. After the tour Miss Mfonobong embarked on the mission to make this dream come true. This was her project which she designed and executed.
