AWDF-USA is a network of dynamic and selfless women in the United States, joining forces to help women and children in need. Our key focus is to bring about sustainable development to under served communities.

AWDF is a non-profit, charitable organization with 501c 3 tax exempt status, registered in the State of Georgia, USA.

At AWDF Inc, we consider women as the fabric and backbone of society with great potential and a major role to play in their communities in Africa and America. We welcome good will Ambassadors: African and American women determined to make a difference.

AWDF-USA is project driven with several Committees responsible for the core focus areas. Although our initiatives and projects are led by women, We also have very strong support from men who share and believe in the mission and vision of the foundation.

Education of Disadvantaged Children
  Primary school enrolment in African countries is among the lowest in the world. Limited funds and a lack of adequate teachers, classrooms, and learning materials adversely affect the educational environment throughout most of Africa.

  AWF's medical mission is geared towards delivering sustainable healthcare for Africa through medical missions and healthcare provision. AWF establishes medical mission teams to deliver services in areas of surgery, general medicine, women's health and peadiatrics, through a network of healthcare professionals and in partnership with organizations sharing a similar vision.

Maternal and Child Health

  African women are known for their hard working spirit as mothers, breadwinners and the backbone of the family. Maternal and child health is therefore a priority area of focus for AWDF.

Women's empowerment

  AWDF assists women in setting up sustainable Micro Credit programs to benefit women. This program empowers women to start up small businesses or help expand existing small business enterprise.
